Description
I don't like sad, or negative things but sometimes there is a beauty that shows thru. A beautiful sunset, along with the hope that that terrible fire near the beautiful Yosemite Valley, in California will soon be out before it can do any more damage. Any more damage to wildlife, people's lives, buildings, the beautiful pine forests and the famous Giant Redwoods which they are striving to save, would truly be too much, not to mention the damage it may be doing to the San Francisco water supply.
This is over a week of unhealthy air in and around Reno, Nevada since this dreadful fire began. It is so hard to make a little dog or cat understand that it can't go outside with all of this smoke. I feel badly, and pray, for the people who already have difficult breathing problems. This smoke is affecting all of Northern Nevada and areas beyond! With the hope that this fire will soon be out, for all concerned, I will sign off..

Thank you very much, Chris. If it weren't such a hassle to change the title I would use "Dangerous Beauty." Sill thinking about it!

Thank you, Aidan! We are fine. We have experienced the e 6 and 7 quakes before. This was just a bit closer and was quite a shake. It has already been reduced to a 4.2 but there are still some aftershocks. This was a bit closer then I would like...

Im watching all about the fire on TV now. It seems they have a lot of work to do to bring the fire under control. No mention of the earthquake on CNN.
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Well, I certainly hope that was what it was. It only, JUST happened and my heart is still beating a mile a minute. I am going to call my daughter and son to make sure all is ok. My voice was only squeaking up until now.
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Well, I don't HOPE it was an Earthquake, buy I would sure like to know what it WAS!
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Yes, It was an earthquake, about 10 miles from us. A 4.7 Earthquake. I'm still shaking.

In the words of a great poet. A terrible beauty is born.
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Hi Aldan. We just had an earthquake that shook every rafter in our house! i just about scared the daylights out of me and our cat! But everything seems to be OK. I even looked to see if someone had run into our house with a car! I like to hear from you!
