Description
This is my original photo of our "little corner of Christmas". Sometimes, I am sad to think that people can't make Christmas, the fun of Santa, and their religion, join as one. I know, that not every country has a "Santa". Somehow, they all mix together, for me but I am, also, aware of the realism too. Santa just makes it a bit more fun. I remember, when I was a very little girl and I was beginning to realize that there really wasn't a Santa. I think it may have been the first time that I realized that no one could really fool me. What a shame! I guess that some people could call me "Foxy". I think from the beginning that I did not believe in Santa but I really wanted to. Oh, Yes! I may be over 80 years old but I remember everything that happened and everything that anyone ever said to me! Darn! It would be a lot more fun if I didn't! Anyway, my Mom and my Dad, whom I loved very much, decided something. They couldn't afford to buy me the electric train that I desperately wanted but they could make darn sure, they could hold my belief in Santa for a little while longer. When I got up Christmas morning, to see what was under the tree, THERE, on the rug were footprints from the fireplace, which we were very fortunate to have. I am assuming you know that Santa always came down the chimney to deliver his packages. I knew they were my Dad's footprints but I really wanted to believe that they were "Santa's." I had even figured out that he had put his shoes in the ashes and then pushed them into the carpet. He had place them perfectly, so they appeared to walk out of the ashes. So, I THINK, I convinced them, that I really believed the foot prints were Santa's! To this day, I am not sure what my sister, who was 3.5 years older, really thought about the whole thing. I am sure she was in conspiracy with them. The next time we are together, I will be sure to ask her. The FAA watermark will not appear on any of your beautifully finished work of Art that you may choose to buy. ***
