Description
Cymbidium Orchids, some pink and some yellow and red (or pink). The larger white had a few more then 30 blossoms this year. It is somwhere in this portfolio.I believe this pink one (in back) has 30 blossoms and this one, in the forground, has closer to the average Number. They are all beautiful! Nevada has a very dry climate that is not recommended for Orchids but these Orcjids are in a South bathroom next to a frosted glass window, above a "Walk In Tub", near the shower and they seem to love it! They even have the roots in the air, something I had only seen in our travels.

Wow! How absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing because these are one of my favorite flowers!
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Hi Michael. Thank you, so very much! Both orchids are still blooming happily. I receive a new one on Mothers Day. I will have to get another photo of the new one. Smiles!

Wow, great shot of these beautifully grown moth orchids. These grow epiphitically in humid conditions so the roots are finding the moist air from your shower delightful :)
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Thank you, very much, Michael. When we lived across the street from the ocean, (a long time ago) I had 6 to 10 Cymbidium Orchis growing our front porch. Even the Florest couldn't get orchids. one year, so my orchids went to the prom.

Hurrah for having your artwork chosen to be a featured piece on our homepage this week. You have many fine pieces in your portfolio of your works, and I am happy you chose this one to submit for possible featuring in our group on the homepage. It now has reached that goal of being featured in our group, a family of friends and fine artists of the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery Group. Congratulations on this fine accomplishment
