Description
This beautiful, gentle Golden Lab probably knows exactly where that mischievous kitten is and what is about to happen. I think he, more then likely, nudged her awake earlier in the day. I believe they sleep together at night, and for naps, and watch over each other during their waking hours. Dogs and cats are so much smarter then people. They learn to get along together and become very good friends. They care.
Years ago, I introduce our two Norwegian Elkhound dogs to our new Siamese kitten. At first, when I brought Tascha home, you could see they were ready for a really fun chase. But as soon as I took her up to them and told them, "This is your kitten now," they both relaxed and the 3 of them were friends forever. They all nurtured each other, protected each other, and slept together. When Tascha had kittens they guarded her and the kittens. Tasha also protected them. What a wonderful "family" we had, right along with our 3 delightful children.

Thank you, so very much, Kathy. I think he, more than likely, nudged her awake earlier in the day. I don't know why it says, "this p[iece is not for sale". I am confused! Smiles.

I have to chuckle cause we have a pair like that. The dog has adopted the kitten and the kitten is constantly teasing the dog. Fun to watch, and a great job here.
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Thank you, Skip, so very much! I feel that more people should realise their pet dogs and cats can play together like this. We , once had an Elk hound that took care of our Siames cat's kittens, and when a strange dog was about to attack our ElkHound, our Siamese jumped on the offender's back with all her claws road him down the street for quite a distance. I miss those 2! That was probably 45 years ago.

Delightful and fun work and story to go with it !!! I always had cats and dogs so I can totally relate ! I have also missed you and your animal stories !! Thank you for your warm welcome and sorry to hear about your arthritic problems. I find for my autoimmune the best thing is diet with lots of berries , herbs and teas which don't have side effects. However for the TN I have to take nerve pain killer and I hate it, hard to concentrate and do stuff and makes it harder to get words out, it actually effects my speech. You not gonne believe this but I been writing this for 2 hours bec I keep stuffing it up. l/f/t
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Hang in there Miroslava! Your diet sounds wonderful! I too, Have pain pills and I know just what you mean. I don't take them unless I absolutely have too. I have one that i do NOT like all the warnings about , but it will last for almost 3 days before I am in dire need of another pill again. Too many pills ordered by one Dr. after another! So glad my painting can bring you a bit of joy! Smiles!

Phyllis, great work of art. But, in reality it wouldn't be pleasant to watch. f/l
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Hi Cindy. Remember now, that beautiful dog got that cute little kitty out of bed this morning and I am willing to bet that he knows exactly where she is right now! I think the happy "Chase" will be on, very soon! Smiles!
