Description
My own special place, my art studio, some of my paintings, & snow outside. Beyond the visibility of the snow, are very beautiful high mountains, covered with snow. I am fortunate to have a warm and beautiful place in which to paint. I took this photo 2 years ago. This year, I am afraid we may have a long hard winter, although, where we live, it won't be as difficult for us as as it might be for others. When we had 3 small children and the youngest was just beginning to walk, we moved from sunny California to the Caribou in British Columbia, Canada where many winter days were 40 below zero. It used to take me 20 minutes to get the 3 children, all under the age of 5, into their snowsuits, so they could go outside. They would be outside for less then 5 minutes before they wanted to come back in. Then it would take me 29 minutes to get them out of their snowsuits! By that time, it was time for all of us to take a nap! However, the 2 years that we lived up there, were some of the best years we ever had. Our oldest child, who started 1st grade while we were up there, is now 59 years! Oh, my, that can't be! Are we really older then that? Well, please don't tell... The FAA Watermark will not show on any finished product that you may wish to purchase*.

Wow. Thank you so very much, Randy for the wonderful FEATURE of "Winter From My Studio" in your wonderful Group of Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery! It is my Privilege to share with you and your delightful group! 🤗 If you could see beyond the tree and the bushes you would be able to see the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. But you can find them in other images in my portfolio.

Is that real snow,Phillis ?
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
Yes it is, Latha! This is about the most snow we ever see around here and it is so pretty! This stayed around for a few days. Most of our snows are melted by the end of the day. It is a lovely place to get 4 seasons, with not too much of anything... A nice climate.
