I love this Windmill that is located in Elk Horn, Iowa. I know there must be hundreds of photos almost identical to mine, as you will see if you look it up. I took this many years ago when my husband took me there to see the windmill and to have lunch at the little restaurant nearby. But, I am sure, there are many people who don't live in Iowa who do not know about it. I see they have Royal Copenhagen and Bing and Grondahl Collectables which I assume are for sale.
Elk Horn is a city in Shelby County, Iowa, United States.
When I last heard, the population was 662 at the 2010 census. Elk Horn is known as a center of Danish ethnicity and is home to The Danish Immigrant Museum. Along with the nearby village of Kimballton, the community makes up the largest, rural Danish community outside of Denmark.

Thank you, Mary. I was a CA girl (from Madera) and my husband was an Iowa boy. Our travels to Iowa were frequent since 1953 and I learned about the covered bridges, the little Brown Church, the clocks and many things about the Mid West that I had never learned before. ;-)
