Description
Once upon a time, in about 1987, we had the opportunity to hold this adorable lion cub. I (Phyllis) held her first and they sweetly put her in my arms like she was a baby. After I cuddled and cooed to her, they gently took her from my arms and handed her to Bruce, my husband. I swear she liked us. How I would love to go back and visit her now. You may have noted that the edge of Bruce's thumb is in the cubs mouth. Yes, he still has a thumb!
We had been to the wonderful California Redwoods and were on our way, if my memory serves me correctly, to Canada. We left the Redwoods behind and were in the state of Oregon, going North, when we spied this small, delightful Wild Animal Park. We decided to visit this wonderful Wild Animal Park. We have never, directly, returned to that area and we are not even sure, exactly where we were. Someday we should retrace our steps (or rather our roadways) to see if we could find this wonderful Park and to see if it has grown to be larger.
Thank you, so very much, Nina, for your wonderful feature of "Once in a Lifetime Love" in "Cats ARE Lovable". Most Appreciated!
