On our short Safari in Africa, I managed to get some wonderful photos! I didn't quite need the full 300 lens for the zebras. Curiosity kept them fairly close. It looks like that path was quite worn. I love the ears on these two.
Zebras, horses and wild asses are all equids, long-lived animals that move quickly for their large size and have teeth built for grinding and cropping grass. Zebras have horselike bodies, but their manes are made of short, erect hair, their tails are tufted at the tip and their coats are striped. Photo by Phyllis Kaltenbach.
